Media Composer 2022.12.4 was released today Jand is on the Avid Download Center.ġ. We just released the first in a series of 3 versions that should imrove this situation. I'm using a 5.1 3.33 Westmere, a Radeon RX580 GPU, 48Gb Ram, a QNAP 10GBE card and a Decklink UltraStudio Monitor. Since I need stability, I'm still on Big Sur using Martin Lo's package, but I got it working too on early versions of Monterey. Bluetooth/WIFI is spotty from Monterey onwards, but you can install a new BT/WiFi card to get around this. There are apparently ways around this though, but I didn't have time to test this yety Aquantia 10GBe support is dropped from Monterey 12.3 onwards. From Monterey on, things get a bit more messy, but this depends on your specific configuration. Everything works without any issues upto Big Sur. Or you could use the OCLP patcher, which is easier, more recent, and also supports Ventura. There are two approaches: either you take Martin Lo's OpenCore package, where you need to do some manupulations yourself. OpenCore is certainly a route to consider if you have some spare time, and you like these sort of hacks :-) It will take a while to delve into it, but nothing too complicated. Can you tell us more about that config? Im specifically concerned about the 10Gbe and Decklink drivers if they were working ok on OpenCore. Im also on MacPro 5.1 mojave and I'm interested in OpenCore. Many thanks Jason for sharing your experience.
